Julian Klausner
Creative Director, Dries Van Noten
The creative director of Dries Van Noten, who succeeded the brand’s founder, has risen through the ranks by honing his craft and defining his nuanced approach to storytelling and silhouette.

Julian Klausner is the creative director of Dries Van Noten, appointed in December 2024 to succeed the Belgian label’s namesake designer. Klausner is redefining the house’s codes with a focus on continuity and contemporary ease.
Born in Antwerp, Klausner earned both his BA and MA from La Cambre in 2016. His early career included internships at Thom Browne, Kenzo and Maison Margiela. In 2018, he joined Dries Van Noten as a womenswear designer, and quietly rose through the ranks.
Klausner’s debut Dries Van Noten womenswear collection, presented in March 2025 at the Opéra Garnier in Paris, explored the power of costume, blending drama and delicacy in a tribute to the house’s heritage. As head of womenswear, he played a key role in the collaboration with Christian Lacroix, overseeing critical aspects of the project’s development. Over time, Klausner has become a trusted partner to Dries, managing casting, image direction and studio operations while fostering a motivated and cohesive team.
For his Spring/Summer 2026 menswear debut, shown at Paris Fashion Week in June, he embraced sensual tailoring and gender-fluid silhouettes, with sailor-collar shirts, paréos, cummerbunds and soft tailoring. The collection marked a bold yet coherent step forward, earning praise for balancing Van Noten’s signature intellectualism with a fresh, intuitive perspective.
Julian Klausner is emerging as one of fashion’s most promising new creative leaders, guiding Dries Van Noten into its next chapter with elegance, innovation and emotional depth.
