Bartolomeo Rongone

Chief Executive, Moncler Group

The chief executive is known for fostering innovation within the luxury house, helping carve out a unique place in the highly competitive world of luxury fashion.

Bartolomeo Rongone

Bartolomeo "Leo" Rongone is the chief executive of Moncler Group and former chief executive of Bottega Veneta, a position he has held since 2019.

Born and raised in Italy, Rongone earned a degree in engineering before launching a career that would take him through various leadership roles across the luxury and retail industries. He joined Kering Group in 2012, gaining experience at brands such as Saint Laurent, where he developed a deep understanding of luxury consumer behaviour and brand strategy. His ability to balance tradition with modernity, especially in the context of high fashion, has been a hallmark of his career.

Rongone’s leadership at Bottega Veneta was characterised by a commitment to sustainability and innovation. He oversaw the introduction of digital strategies and contemporary designs that speak to a younger, more global audience, while still celebrating the brand’s artisanal roots. This focus on creative evolution, combined with his business acumen, has positioned Bottega Veneta as a leader in luxury fashion’s next era of growth and relevance. As he once noted in an interview, “It’s about finding the right balance between heritage and the future.” Rongone’s vision for Bottega Veneta continues to make waves in the fashion industry.

In January 2026, Bottega Veneta announced Rongone was set to exit his role as chief executive of Kering’s Bottega Veneta in March and join Moncler as group CEO, effective April 1.
