Poiret, known in Paris as “le Magnifique,” was one of the most extravagant and innovative designers of his time, making fearless use of bright colors, exotic fabrics and motifs. He was the first couturier to introduce perfumes commercially, and set up his own perfume company. Today, the brand is back almost a century after its closure. In the footsteps of Paul Poiret, Creative Director Yiqing Yin embraces the subtle, paradoxical sensuousness of oversized clothing, which offers space for freedom. The Poiret woman thus maintains her mysterious side, never revealing herself at first glance. Handbags, jewellery and shoes are the extension of this state of mind as part of a complete wardrobe.
